One day, while unloading a truck, my hand got slammed in the door of a sea shipping container. The wind whipped the door shut on me, squishing my hand with a resounding BOOM! The pain was excruciating, and went shooting right up my elbow. I thought I had broken my hand, and couldn't move it at all. When I got the X-ray back, it showed a possible hairline fracture although the doctor couldn't confirm it.
Earlier on, I had ordered the Beck Protocol and had used it for awhile. I remembered hearing that magnetic pulsing might help with pain, so I thought I had nothing to lose by trying it on my hand.
I started magnetic pulsing just days after the accident and immediately after the first session, the pain subsided. I felt better right after I used it for just one 40-minute session. After that session, I was also able to move my hand around, although I wasnt able to close it. The next day after magnetic pulsing again, I was surprised to notice that I could close my hand just fine! There was no bruising, but there was a fair amount of swelling.
I continued to use the magnetic pulsing unit for the next week and my hand continued to improve. Id use it for two 20 minute sessions (40 minutes total). When I had more time, I'd do a third session. A few days later, I found that when I reached for my shoe, the shooting pain would still go up my elbow which made me realize my hand wasnt fully healed. That spurred me on to keep magnetic pulsing for a further week. After the second week, there was no pain and no swelling. I still suffered twinges of pain for about a month or two, but I would only use the magnetic pulsing unit occasionally when it got bad - just for 2 or 3 sessions. Then that was it.
I feel my hand is back to normal. It was pretty amazing. I still use magnetic pulsing when needed on different parts of my body. I tore some tendons on a hiking trip and found magnetic pulsing reduced the swelling. I have also used it on certain types of wounds and bruises for quicker healing.
