The Accidental Find That Brought Relief
Steffany D., California, USA

I’ve been through a lot - tinnitus, bruxism, tourettes and depression that’s haunted me for years. It’s like my nervous system was always on edge, a chaotic mix of ringing in my ears, jaw clenching and tics that started when I was young.

Things got worse around 2020 after sustaining head injuries that left me with midbrain damage. This impacted my jaw line and triggered three different tones of tinnitus - one in my midbrain and two in my left ear, where I also have significant hearing loss.

The bruxism [jaw clenching and grinding], which I’ve had since around 2012, intensified and surgeries only made things worse. It felt like my life was derailing. The constant noise in my head and the grinding of my teeth threw me into severe depression and dissociation.

I was barely holding on, especially after losing my brother-in-law and going through a breakup. My biggest fear was living with this tinnitus forever, and it was overwhelming.

An unfamiliar device changes everything

Then, by chance, I stumbled across a pulsed magnetic field unit. I’m a professional organizer and a client’s husband, who had cancer, left behind this device. I didn’t know what it was at first so I just tossed it in the trunk of my car, planning to donate it.

But one sleepless night, when my tinnitus was screaming and my nervous system felt like it was in overdrive, I got curious. I’d been scrolling on my phone, half-panicked, when I saw something about pulsed electromagnetic field stimulation (PEMF) mentioned by Tony Robbins, a guy I’ve always admired.

I dug a little deeper, realized the pulsed magnetic field unsitting in my trunk, was a PEMF device and thought, “Why not try it?”

I had no clue what I was doing, but I placed it on my temple, right where my tinnitus and jaw issues were worst. Within five minutes, I was out – a deep, restful sleep, which I hadn’t had in forever.

When I woke up, my head felt clearer, like something had drained away. My tinnitus had quieted and my jaw felt less tense. I was shocked. I mean, what the heck? I wasn’t expecting that at all.

From that moment, magnetic pulsing became my lifeline. I kept it by my bedside and used it every morning and night, usually for about 20 minutes on the faster mode, sometimes up to an hour until I drifted off. I’d place it on my temple, neck, or chest - wherever I felt tension. On tough days, I’d use it three times a day, for 20-minute sessions.

Finding calm after years of chaos

It wasn’t just about sleep; it was like my whole nervous system was resetting. My depression started to lift and I felt happier, more centered. I don’t know if it was boosting my dopamine or rewiring my brain, but I felt an overall sense of well-being I’d never experienced before.

I even started experimenting, placing it near my belly button to see if it could balance my hormones, or on chakra points since I do energy work. Each time, it seemed to do something - calming me, grounding me.

When my sister, who was struggling with anxiety and night terrors after her husband’s passing, came over one night in a panic, I had her lie in my bed, put some essential oils on her and placed the magnetic pulser at the base of her skull. With gentle music playing, she fell asleep for two hours, totally balanced. She started asking to use it all the time.

The Shift Was Impossible to Ignore

I’ve been using it for 5 months, and in that short time, it’s taken away my sleep issues and most of my depression. It didn’t cure everything - my tinnitus and bruxism are still there - and while it doesn’t directly affect my tics (tourettes), it helps balance my nervous system so I can cope without feeling like I’m in constant fight-or-flight mode.

I’m all in on this holistic wellness journey because this device feels like its aligning my body’s energy with nature.

It’s been a blessing, especially during tough times like helping my sister raise her kids or dealing with my own grief. It’s not just a gadget - it’s a tool that’s helped me reclaim my life, one pulse at a time.
