Apart from memory problems, my main frustration was not being able to be productive, especially when it was urgent or very important. This has perplexed me until recently when I was diagnosed with ADHD.
I am 72 years old now, but I noticed this problem back in my late 20s while operating my own business. Even when I look back, schoolwork was a big problem, study was impossible and I thought I was dyslexic, which Im not.
I could never get into tasks that needed doing. Sitting for hours at my computer, ready for whatever project lay before me, my brain would refuse to let me begin. Equipped with great intention, I couldnt shift past start mode, my brain getting lost in the abyss, never finding my way back. I was constantly distracted busying myself by needing a beverage, a snack, starting over again. Sometimes Id complete 70% of my work, only to be distracted and abandon what I was doing.
I wasnt diagnosed until my late 60s. I was told I had ADHD but had no idea what that meant. Id always assumed that was a term for fidgety kids. As I educated myself more on my diagnosis, I began to see how obvious the signs were, pointing me to ADHD.
The Brain Tuner has helped my ADHD problems enormously and it is cheap and was fast to do so. I have owned one for perhaps 12 years and have used it for many years on and off.
The Brain Tuner is very subtle because it does not feel like anything is happening, but it is quite powerful as I have found out. I can rely on my Brain Tuner these days to enable me to get into my work, prompting me to carry on when my brain on its own, refuses to cooperate. Its so easy. Thoughts of I must do this but cant simply disappear. I put on my Brain Tuner and like magic, I immediately begin. The biggest change I notice is all the invisible and negative thoughts that flood my brain when I cant begin, disappear.
The brain chatter, the starting and stalling, the anxiety would all stop me from trying. But now when I put the Brain Tuner on those thoughts are abandoned. I can feel them disappear; I dont notice anything different except how easy it is to be productive.
I only need 20 minutes which is what the Brain Tuner is programmed for. Sometimes I only use it for 5 minutes. Sometimes I keep plugged in for an hour. After that short session I can work for hours. I find taking physical breaks are important in being able to complete long jobs of a repetitive nature, but the Brain Tuner is an important first step, when I have a blockage.
Ive read reports that ADHD medication enables people to concentrate by removing voices in the mind to allow clarity of thinking
the Brain Tuner does that without the cost and possible side effects.
I know many medications are habit-forming and as a result a person is altered by withdrawal symptoms when they discontinue, fooling them into thinking the medication is helping more than it is. I have never experienced withdrawal from suspending use of the Brain Tuner.
Although there are many things an ADHD sufferer could do to help their condition, I would recommend the Brain Tuner as a convenient and economical tool that is very practical.
