Yes! The Brain Tuner uses the same technology as Cranial Electrical Stimulation (CES). Bob Beck said that it could also be used anywhere on the body as a TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) unit. In fact, if you have the ear-clip electrodes, you can easily convert to using disposable conductive pads, which are available at any medical supply store, and use the Brain Tuner as a TENS unit.

Keep in mind - the Brain Tuner is unique in that it's a CES unit that can also be used as a TENS unit, but that isn't the case with every unit on the market. Bob made it clear that TENS units should not be used as CES devices as the outputs are different.

Keep in mind, a child's brain is still developing and we do not know what effect harmonic frequencies have on the developing brain. As a parent, you are the one that needs to make this call. Historically there has been no caution about using the Brain Tuner (Cranial Electro Stimulation (CES)) with tinnitus. It puzzled us when we heard more recent, yet rare, reports that the Brain Tuner, also known as the Bio Tuner, had aggravated tinnitus.

Medical Science does not know the cause of tinnitus but it has correlated the problem with a number of conditions. When we discovered that the books by Anthony William, actually state the cause of tinnitus, we gained some clarity on the rare and more recent instances of aggravation.

Anthony William pinpoints a virus as the cause of today's chronic diseases or mystery illnesses as he calls them—including tinnitus. He also indicates there has been a "viral explosion" which accounts for the increase in chronic diseases. More specifically, he pinpoints the Epstein Barr virus (EBV), a member of the Herpes virus family as a common cause of tinnitus:

Tinnitus, or ringing in the ear, is usually caused by EBV getting into the inner ear’s nerve channel, called the labyrinth. The ringing is the result of the virus inflaming and vibrating the labyrinth and the vestibulocochlear nerve. (Medical Medium, Anthony William, 2015)

This gives a plausible explanation as to why using the Brain Tuner may increase tinnitus for some people. The beneficial frequencies & microcurrents would begin to strengthen the immune system. When the immune system targets the virus an increase in symptoms can occur. While the Medical Medium provides information about foods and herbs that eradicate the virus, a wealth of feedback on the use of the Beck Protocol indicates it helps the body deal with a broad range of illnesses, including viral conditions.

The original Brain Tuner had one mode, but Bob was concerned if only one mode was used for long periods of time (e.g., more than a month), the brain might become acclimatized to that mode and benefits might decrease. As a result, Bob added two modes in the 550 uS (micro-second) pulse width to prevent brain acclimatization and three additional modes at a pulse width of 220 uS because of associated endorphin production. Two of the six modes added were established at the Earth (Schumann) frequency of 7.83 Hz. Bob knew the Earth frequency has a healthy effect on the body (and what could be better than resonating with Mother Earth?).

Yes. You can use one or all of the Beck units. Bob developed the Brain Tuner several years before the Beck Protocol, but all the Beck units support and complement each other. The three Protocol units work hand-in-hand in supporting the body to heal itself, while the Brain Tuner supports healing in terms of the mind-body connection.

The Beck units also function independently, so whether you start with one, two, or more units - give yourself credit for getting started on the road to healing. The Beck units are designed to work with the body's natural electricity so the body can work on healing itself. Keep in mind the Brain Tuner delivers gentle harmonic frequencies that are biocompatible with the body.

In comparison, exposure to high voltage transformers and power lines can have harmful effects. They are very intense and can be disruptive to the body.

Bob originally recommended limiting each session to a maximum of 40 minutes – the technology was new forty years ago and so he was being cautious. Forty years later, we now know that some people do better with more use. There's no reason to limit Brain Tuner use to 40 minutes. In fact, a psychologist shared with us that he tells his clients to use the Brain Tuner daily and also at the onset of any symptoms and for as long as necessary. Remember to drink water before and after sessions to help flush toxins from your body. Drinking ozonated water is even more beneficial!
